Hurricane Frances changed the lives of my husband, my children and myself forever. In the space of a few hours,
we lost 90% of everything we owned and lost our home as well.
As terrible as things were for us, I know that other families went through and are still going through far worse.
This web site is as much for them as it is for us. Newspapers publish photos of damaged buildings, flooded streets and
smashed cars, but manage to keep it sterile and impersonal.
These photos are far from impersonal.
I lived in this apartment for almost four years. So did my husband and my oldest son, Michael. For my youngest
son, Paul, this was the only home he'd ever known.
